My 2003 MY Z06 is starting to leak at the differential I believe. Well I was wondering if anyone knew a good GM mechanic in the Michigan area, that I should take it too.
I have a few local dealers here, but I would rather not take it too them. Any suggestions and or experiences?
Thanks for all your help.
-----PS, I live 2 hours north of Detroit, in a city called Saginaw.
No problem. I know this topic has come up before but I can't seem to find the old threads. Oh well.
First off, I presume that since your car is fairly new that you want a dealership for warantee work. I personally have never had any work done on my car, so I can't really speak from my own personal experience. Les Stanford (http://www.lesstanford.com) and Jack Cauley (http://www.jackcauley.com/) are two very big dealerships that sell a lot of Vettes (Stanford is in the top 3 in country I believe). That's why I mentioned them. I have heard from friends of mine that the guys at Cauley do good work, but again, I can't speak from my own experience.
Some people over at Corvette Forum had some good things to say too:
One nice thing about about both those dealerships is that they are both very active in the Corvette community. They sponsor a large number of events, clubs, etc in the Detroit area.
If you are looking for someone to do mods or LS1 Edit type stuff, you might want to check AP Engineering:

Glad to help. I'm going to be having some work done at Cauley soon too. They are closer to me so the choice was easy. Besides, they had a Ferrari ENZO at the Ferrari dealership across the parking lot.
Never had to use either on but have always heard good reports about both Stanford and Cauley. Please post results about leaky differential. I have begun to hear lots of stories about this problem including numerous tails/problems during the 50th caravan. Seems like this is a common enough problem that GM needs to figure out what is wrong, recall and fix them all.
