I just had my water pump replaced on a 2002 ZO6. On the way home on the highway I was running between 205 and 207 on a 70 degree day. It normally runs about 190.
Any ideas on why that may be? Does the radiator have to be burped perhaps?
Thanks
Steve
Any time there has been a coolant loss and then when refilled it can take 3-4 cold/hot cycles to purge any air out of system
Also hoses to HVAC may have gotten some air so run heater and A/C to help flow the coolant through
Yes once engine is cooled down is remove surge tank cap to help purge any air out and then make sure the fluid level in surge tank is at the cool level line
If stock Tstat is stock that is 194 deg so temp would not be much lower then that.
