I asked this question about 2 months ago .I have since had no further info, does anyone out there know of any manufacturer who currently makes a plug and play maft for 01-02 z06. today I spoke with mike at extreme and he said he was thinking about doing the work there and then selling the finished product.
Starting with ramchargers maft. If there is not one already on the market lets give nate some encouragment to get mike started. I can't be the only one who isn't comfortable about splicing wires on my baby

The splice is not bad, but, the plug would be better. They have told me they have tried and tried to get one by sourcing or getting mold quotes to get one made. They have yet to get the whole deal done. I talked to them today.

Sounds like an excellent business opportunity. After all, with the right connections in the automotive business, someone could make lots of $$$$,
Actually, I don't think it would be a very cost effective move to do a plug and play for what amounts to a limited # of cars. New molds for the connectors will cost $$. The price of the unit is $179, I believe. Take 45 minutes of your time (taking it slow and making sure its done right) and for another $20+ in connectors, you can DIY.
They'd have to market the thing at $225-250 or so and no higher, or no one would buy it in plug and play form. I don't know if an additional $60-70/unit sold is worth doing a new connector for it in the manufacturer's eyes.

I would suspect that some guys would pay it, but, not enough to recoupe the intial outlay on a mold pruchase. Otherwise, I think they would have knocked this out already.

How much are they and did you just plug both yours in to the MAF end and the stock MAF wiring? There is a kit to take a smaller MAF like the 97-00 that have switched to a 01/02 MAF, but, it's not all the way and a true plug and play for 01/02. Is yours different?
Robbys, I edited part of your post (non-supporting vendor). If he has a plug and play unit, see if he might have some interest in selling a few on the site.....
