Question for those of you with LGM Headers or any headers and x pipe..

I'm trying to figure out if I have a leak or not. I took the car back to my mechanic because I wasn't sure about how my car was running since the header install and he can't find any kind of leak, but I still suspect something.

For those of you with LGM headers, do you get popping or raspy sound under decelleration? Or, when you get on it and then decellerate hard without going up a gear, do you get a Baaaaaaahhhrrr type of sound at all? I just want to know if this is normal. My mechanic seems to think so.

I'm running cats. I'm running Random Tech Metal Matrix cats. Could I be getting this because of the high flow cats?

I'm only asking because I keep on reading about people putting their headers on and have their cars run smoother than stock. I think my car runs much raspier and pops more under decelleration.

Yes, I'm running the new LG Headers with no cats and I get the popping under deceleration. It doesn't really bother me though, God help me I kinda like it....

Mine is smooth at decelerating except when it comes down to 2000rpm or below then I get a very slight crackle. I love these things!! I am also running the catless version.

Thanks guys. I just wanted to know if it was normal. I know with motorcycle headers that when I have a leak up at the gaskets, I get a lot of popping under decelleration and when everything is sealed up like a drum, I get no popping.
