service abs, active h, and traction control

this has happened before but just went away after a restart. This time I was driving along accelerating hard and hit a bump in the road. Large bump but nothing crazy by any means. All of a sudden the DIC started flashing those messages. Upon restart the same thing. I reseted them away and they just come back upon startup. clearly the active h button does nothing now. Anything I can do before bringing it to the dealer?

I don't know, but mine is doing the same thing, but I thought it was because I had the steering column lock done and then went back to Dragon Eng. and had 'em put my old tune in. :oo:

If you find out let me know, Please!!

I had the same codes pop up twice, once in the summer just driving done the road and then about 2 months ago. I have an appointment with the dealer on the 29th but am worried about losing my tune... I also just noticed that my drivers' side wheel is slightly out of the wheel well and the passenger side is not. Don't know what that could be!!!

Common cause:

Loose or shorted-out wheel sensor connections- check them

Mine was an EBCM harness short caused by faulty routing of the harness. It was rubbing against the alternator pulley.

Good luck....

I did a couple of donuts last night (don't ask) and my service act handling light came on. It went awy after restart. What gives?

It can be a number of things.

Like stated before, there can be loose connectors such as the wheel sensors. Check the sensors at the ABS module and the module that controls the TC/AH/ABS.

There can be a short somewhere that can be causing a misread.

What can happen unfortunately (like in mine) was that a short in a wire fried my ABS unit and the module/computer that controls the TC/AH/ABS and it all had to be replaced. Make sure its all covered under warranty just in case...its all really expensive stuff!!!

Good luck

You may have some wires chafing going to the TAC module!
I had intermittent 'go into limp mode' problems on mine after the wreck!
AH TC not available, reduced engine power!!!

The TAC module had some wires that were chafing against the PCM and the shorting toasted the TAC module!!

It's the black box just in front of the PCM in the space behind the panel in the wheel well behind the right front tire!!

I have seen the wheel sensor wires get heat damaged by headers before, short out and cause this.

Ah geez, I'm already not sure if the dealership I have appointment with is "mod friendly" and now you had to go and say something like this. Anybody want to bet that they'll say I'm responsible for the cost of the units that have been mentioned above. Oh well, it's still going in to let them have a look. Very anxious now though, first time in since pickup, which I did in Ohio. That dealership was alot different than the stories I hear of locals around here.

That trio of error messages is back on my car too now....had it a few times in the past but it would go away upon restart. Now its stayed for the last three days so I took it in, as of right now they say they have to replace a module, which costs about a grand....thank goodness I have a service plan with my dealership...all I pay is a 200 deductible on everything covered by GMPP or something like that.
