Slp loudmouth or borla bullets

I'm looking into buying an exhaust for my new c5 z06. I'm torn between slp loudmouths and borla stingers. I want something that really roars. But not something that will give you a headache. I know those are two extreme exhausts but which one has less of a drone inside but sounds absoluley amazing. I know I'm rambling but lemme know what you guys think!!

I will later add headers but for now I think I need a new sound.

Re: Slp loudmouth or borla bullets

Save yourself a ton of money and figure out where you want to end up before you start!! In this economy there really isn't much free money......
Don't spend money on stuff now that you will have to give up later in the build.
Find a car tone you like then talk to the people with that tone and copy!!
Exhaust note is all personal taste, i.e. what I like, you may hate!! It also changes with every mod you make to that system! Buy a great sounding catback sweet! Then add an x-pipe and it's too quiet, bad..Add headers and it's loud and has resonance or is just right!! Get my drift??
I personally have Kooks, no cats, x-pipe and B&B PRT's!!
Ya, it's loud at full throttle where you want it loud, but not bad at idle and even better, quieter, with hi-flow cats!!
I've spent a ton of money on two different C5 Z exhausts....
Play smart!!

Re: Slp loudmouth or borla bullets

I was considering both Borla and SLP and ended up with B&B bullets because I got them for 450 used and installed. I absolutely love them, but like what has been said before, it's all about personal taste. The bullets resonate some, but you can carry on a conversation with your passenger no problem. I personally have kooks lts, high flo catted x-pipe, and B&B bullets. You can hear me comin that's for sure. All of the ones you are considering are great. Try to listen to some in person if you can. Good luck!

Re: Slp loudmouth or borla bullets

+1 on checking out the sounds. I went to one Z06 fest when I first bought my car just so I could listen to the different exhausts before settling on mine...
