Just some very expensive 3-piece chrome jelly.

Chrome less fattening than jelly and good for the prostate. Oh wait, that's zinc.

No, they're the S-02's (265/35/18), to match my rears (295/35/18).

I've had the S-02's on the back since November, and love them. They work awesome in the rain, and they hardly spin much past second gear in the dry, and I'm putting down a few ponies to turn them. And they look cool, that's important.

I'm looking forward to the lower profile in the front to see how much handling difference I gain from going to the 18's.

Great Tire. I had them on an S2000. They stuck better than any other tire I have had.

That's because they are wider looking. In the past, I have run Yokohama AVS Sports. When they lay on the ground next to an F1, they sit about a 1/2" higher. When the S-02's were sitting next to my Yokohama's, the S-02's looked a damn near full inch higher then the Yoko's. I'm not sure how they measure them, but while the contact patch be about the same, the "look" of the tire is much wider. My 295's look like 305's in the back.

All of the tires vary a little from brand to brand. I was going to replace a Bridgestone RE71 in a 215-50-17 size one time with a Toyo T1-S in a 215-50-17 and the Bridgestone was considerably wider. I even ordered in a set of 235-45-17's in the Toyo's and the 215 Bridgestone's were still wider. Crazy..

they are wider. I had the same as stock size (295-35-18s) on my Mustang, and they were over an inch wider than Goodyears. I think they are a much harder compound than the newer SO3s, and they seemed pretty slippery to me on the 'stang. In a straight line, they seemed greasy, but they were great cornering.

Just got back from dropping off the car at Discount Tire. They are being installed as we speak, for only $228. Oh well, you drop this kind of change on a set of wheels, I guess that's a fair $$ to have them taken care of. If it's still light out, I'll take some quick pics tonight. I think they're going to look sweet.
