Speed Bleeder Help

I just installed my new Speed Bleeders and they work great. As I am checking for leaks I note that three wheels seal perfectly with 10-12 ftl lb while the the fourth (front left) leaks. I need to torque to 18 ft lb. to get a seal ( the leak was in the center not around the threads). While Speed Bleeder does not list a torque range on their web page they do say not to turn more than a quarter turn past the point where the bleeder seats. The 18 ft lb gives me just under a quarter turn. Is this a problem with the bleeder or with the install? Is it something I need to worry about?

Thanks for any input.

I would remove, clean threads in caliper & Speedbleeder, blow out Speedbleeder with compressed air, then reinstall with new sealant on the threads.

Most probable cause is dirt in the valve.

If it still leaks I would then replace that Speedbleeder.

It may be defective I had one that would not seal and they sent me new overnight. Keep stockers in the car in case.

I followed your advice DJ Worm and did a complete cleaning of the valve and the seat, applied thread seal and things seem to be working normally with a good seal at 10 ft lb.

Thanks for the help
