Stainless Steel Gas Door Modification Question

I've read how many of you feel about this gas door mod:

But what do you think about this idea:

I have a 2001 QS and I am planning to change out the wheels to the black Z06 wheels and was thinking about getting this gas door painted or powdercoated black to match.

Comments??

Bad Idea, IMHO those THINGS looks awful
in any color. It reminds of some young kid in a Riced out Honda Civic.

I think the brushed stainless looks great on QS. OTOH, on my black car, no way. Keep it silver when you go with the black wheels, which BTW, look great on a silver car. I don't think it looks ricey at all.

It belongs on a race car. I think it's pure rice for a street driven car. Even coated black would look ricey to me. To each is own, I guess.
