Boot works fine IMO. Fits better to knob that it did with OEM shifter.

You can get a shorter boot from Ken King at http://vetteessentials.com/ for about $40.

I have seen two pics of installed Hurst shifters over at that "other" forum. They used the stock boot and it looked squished or cramped, I don't know what word I am looking for, it didn't look right. I shortened mine myself. For the guys who say it looks fine, can you show us some pics please. Thanks!

C'mon 2002blackZ06...tell us how you shortened yours. I'm sure that when the Hursts start arriving a bunch of us will look at your boot and need to know how you did it. A pic or two would be nice too.

Thanks,
Charlie

Well considering my car is sitting on my lift with no shifter in it, I don't know how my boot is going to look. I will take pics of it when I get my Hurst in. RG says it is getting shipped next week. We hope!!!!!!!!!

Here is a pic of my Hurst and stock boot with a hardbar that I actually lowered about another inch. I ground down the first inch or so of threads so it would go down further. I will get a boot designed for short shifter though. It looks squashed to me. Besides I want a two tone yellow one and for $40 you can't beat it.

ZO6, tried that, and it takes me straight back to the website........
Most sites enable you to e mail directly from the site.....but, this one evidently will not work( at least for me)...
I may have to call & order..........confused on this e mail deal???
