Tail Light Trim

I just bought my 02 EB Z06 yesterday. The past owner gave me a set of tail light trim. They look nice and I thought I might try them out. Trim pieces are very ridgid and the tail light covers have a curve. How do you install these rings?

If the existing screws are long enough, try fitting it over the taillight and see how it looks. If it looks funky, you know you have a problem. If the screws are too short for both the trim and the taillight, You'll need to get longer screws.

Be careful with the screws. They don't thread in to anything but plastic (no blind nuts) and are easy to strip-out. But any longer similar sized screw will do as a replacement. I put blackouts on my tail lights and had to get longer screws to attach them (the lenses came with velcro pads to stick 'em to the tail lights, but I thought that was stupid so I drilled and mounted them "properly". In the process, I stripped out one of the mounting holes and had to do a little R&R to get it to hold together).
