Throttle Body

Which Throttle Body should I go with....

Breathless Performance Ported & Flowed Throttle Body $250

or

80mm LS-1 and LS-6 Throttle Body from xtreme? $368

Or

Custom Ported Throttle Body for the C5/Z06 $175.00 (also from Xtreme)

Anyone have any suggestions or advice on this one? Not sure why the cost difference is so high.

thanks,
Ira Bliss (aka IMBLISS)

I don't know which is the best, but I purchased my throttle body from xtreme. http://www.xmotorsports.com/home/ The throttle body was ported and polished by Katech. http://www.katechengines.com/

thanks Frank. Which one did you buy from them? You mean you bought it from them and then had the other company polish it? Why is that?

I figured that you would have went with BPP? Any particular reason why you didn't go with them? I know that you like Ernie and the crew.

thanks again for the help
Ira

I use one custom done by Mark Shaner - he does a lot of them for the Fbody guys.

I picked up 12-15 rwtq. in the midrange. Only a few up top.

Ira

No particular reason. Yes, Ernie and BPP are good people and I have bought many parts from them!! In fact I just recieved my MGD wires and Beru plugs from BPP.

I ordered the H&C package from Katech through Xtreme. I just figure as long as I was getting the H&C package, I might as well get the throttle body too...and the 40# injeectors....and the C5R timing chain and gears....and the....and the..... It never ends!!

I chose Katech because they have a proven record and I have seen their facility first hand. They are first class!!

Look on LS1.com or LS1Tech.com for username "Shaner".
