Unless you have heads and cam a throttle body is not going to add much, if any. They can improve throttle response and overall smoothness though.

It's my understanding after talking to Mark Shaner, who is doing mine, that in this respect they are pretty impressive. He also said don't expect much hp/torque on a dyno as they "Don't dyno well."

So without heads/cam it's more a SOTP thing I guess. Maybe someone who has one already will give their impression.

Consider that dynos are good tools at the same time if you can jump a car length or two on another car b/c of throttle response its an excellent mod. (ie. rollon)

Which brand throttle body to buy?

I'm extremely pleased with the S2 and would recommend this one to you. Its an inexpensive incremental mod thats worth while.

There are many fine choices.

Air flow "velocity" is what I believe is the key to the improvement.

The refined smoothness and improved revving capability make this mod worthwhile IMO.

You might consider a search on this topic

Good luck.

Its a good decision.

Non related, but how does your Ti exhaust match up to the FLP headers?

I am thinking about the FLP headers, but am unsure how they will connect to my Corsa exhaust.

Any thoughts?

Sounds worth it to me. Shaner is doing one up for me now. Only shows about 1-2 peak HP, but from my understanding it shows 8-10 HP and FT. LBS. of Torgue for a majority of the rev range as compared to the stock TB. Not bad for the $ IMHO.

They fit ok.I would suggest you fit the headers to the exhaust and not the exhaust to the headers. For a while we couldnt get the headers in place then like magic they slipped in.Feels like i lost a little low end but gained a lot of mid and upper
