Throttle Body Bypass???

At link: http://www.thelapd.com/Merchant2/mer...gory_Code=THBY

Are these just 20 bucks of voodoo cooling or do they help? Is there a (negative) cold weather impact? Feedback appreciated...

I would not use one if I lived in a cold weather state. The gain is very little anyway. IMO

This is one of those things that will gain you a little HP when it is hot out. Colder air is better and not heating the TB, will buy you a little.

You can do searches and some people will relate potential horror stories of icing up and the like.

I have run this mod on multiple cars since the late eighties. Including a couple of cars I drove year round in a climate where is snows. I have never had a problem.

Bottom line: The gain is little, if you are at all concerned don't do it. Take a look at the tubing connector and you should be able to get one at any good auto parts store for under 5.00.

Exact-a-mondo ) One small connector and 2 clamps

When I was installing Blower I replaced the complete hose thus bypassing the T/B. No better - No worse - Just easier to get T/B off/on.

Yea I was thinking of getting one and went to a local shop and questioned them on it. They weren't sure either so after some conversation he said "here just take it, but I can't guarantee a gain." So I have one needless to say ...
