Timing / Data Acquisition Systems for Event

I'm helping to set up a performance challenge this coming May that will be a series of performance events over the course of a day. We have an airport reserved for the day, and will have the following events:

1/2 Mile Drag
Slalom
Skidpad
100-0 Brake Challenge
Autocross
0-60
Plus a surprise event at day's end for the top cars.

The question: Where to go for quality timing equipment that will be both accurate and reliable.

Also, what are the 'standard' slalom and skidpad dimensions?

Maybe I should clarify, this is not for me to get individual timing. I'm helping run the event, and need a system to time the competitors.

This system is very portable and is easily transfered from one vehile to another.

Otherwise stand alone timing lights and radar guns.

You might contact the SCCA for timing equipment advice. Specifically their Pro Solo AutoX dept. This format uses drag type XMas trees and is completely portable. You could run 4 events off of this set up.
- AutoX
- Slalom
- 0-60,
- Drag

BTW, isn't a 1/2 mile drag a bit excessive ? It would be the longest in the world !

Skid Pads are usually 100' diameter.

Thanks DJ. I'll look into what the pro solo guys are using.

1/2 mile drag isn't as excessive as the standing mile drags you see down south. Would definitely not be the longest:

Good to know skidpads are 100' thanks!

Alright, just a quick bump:

I'm looking at both the JACircuits and AXWare systems. Any pro/cons between the two.

Skidpads are 100' radius (i assume you didn't mean 100' diameter).

Anyone know a good way to measure 0-60mph on a series of cars?
