Tips on installing B&B PRT

Hey!

I just got a set of B&B PRT's and they sound awesome. I am really enjoying the exhaust other then the couple problems i am having with it. I am having a problem getting it to fit right. The Passenger side Muffler comes in contact with the center storage comparment and starts to heat up the plastic. Other then the worry of it will eventually burn through, it vibrates like crazy. I tried loosening my Random Tech cats and X pipe to adjust the whole system but still with no such luck. I tried to call B&B and explain my situation but the tech answering the phone was a complete jerk and acted like I was bothering him. I am very satisfied with B&B's sound and their quality, but it would be a shame for them to get a bad rep becuase of one person who isn't sure how to treat customers. The situation with the Rep at B&B left a really bad taste in my mouth about them, but i am sure my Z06 buddy's can help! I would really appreciate any tips you guys have.

Take care!

I don't know if I can help you?
I just went outside and looked at mine and I have at least 1-1.5in clearance all around my center storage bin!
Where is the contact? At the 90 going out to the tips or the over axle pipe?
These things stick out a couple inches farther than stock!

Just a heads up from Oregon- I read a thread some time ago about somebody's actually did catch fire. Good luck getting it fixed quickly. Bill in Oregon and sorry I can't give you any advise. Out of my league.

I have the same problem with mine. The passenger side contacts the storage bin. I have tried adjusting in and out and it still contacts it. I like the sound of mine also.
And the problem with the burning was with a Borla exhaust.

Try to get the car in the air. If you have a fixed system (welded) you may have to modify to fit.

It sounds to me as if your sytem needs to be properly examined for fit then adjusted. Your mufflers system should not be riding on glass.

As the other tread read, get it checked and fixed. Bad news to make contact with glass.

A muffer shop with proper lift equiment can at least look at it and probably fix it.
