I have one on my '00 Coupe from Da'alan (I think that's right). It mounts to the frame and you need an exhaust which has at least 5" of clearance between the tips in order to fit it on there. Check the owner's manual for towing capacity - I don't think its that high on a Z06 or C5 in general. The mounting will take a few hours as you have to fish a few bolts into the frame rail using string.
Electrical connections with Euro tails may not be easy - this might be something to watch for. I still haven't gotten mine working right.

My manual says the z06 is not designed to tow anything but I've been towing a small trailer with my autocross tires on it with no noticeabl problems. Many others do this also. I'd love to know if it would be OK to tow a 900 lb formula car with a Z06?

Lowered 1/2 inch, K & N filter, trying without air box cover (K & N tie wrapped) on occassion, Hurst shifter, Autopower racing rollbar (4 point-bolt in), two autopower 5 pt. restraints (easily removed), fire extinguisher for SCCA SOLO I hillclimbs, and other SOLO I events (eg. Summit Pt. timed laps on Jefferson Circuit). Broke decade old record in first hillclimb (Duryea in Reading, PA) for ASP class on Hoosier autocross tires (on stock wheels).
Best 1/4 mi. 12.69 @113.5 (F-1's w/ heavy OEM wheels, low rpm launch)
We have a Drawtite hitch on out Z and a Deland on our 00 Coupe and just put a Drawtite on a 00 FRC Yesterday. I don't know what the towing capacity would be I estimate about 1000+ lbs. on our cars on the trip to BG and Carlisle. Just for safety sake I do raise the rear a few turns before attaching the trailor. Just have them test the curcuits before they cut into your harness with euro lights but ours work fine on our cars. If you call some local trailor places and see what brand they carry both are fine. But you may want to meet the installer and see what he drives before you give them the ok to work on your Z. Let us know how it works out for you.

NO PROBS here either... I can run this thing 80mph down the road and not know its there. Tracks nice.. Hitch is Draw-tight, excellent fit. Tap the wiring harness and you are good to go. Dennis: congrats on the HILLCLIMB TITLE!

Personally, I don't think would be a good idea. Especially pulling a horse and trailer, but then I have a truck for that.
That said, I did see a black Z, 6 or7 months ago, parked at a restaurant on Mobile bay pulling a small trailer with a Harley and a set or race tires. Seemed to have no problems.
I thought horse trailers were 5th wheel trailers????? Are you going to take off the decklid and put in a 5th wheel. I know you must be joking about pulling big loads. At least I hope you are.
No offense, but I'm kind of scared if you're pulling boats/RV's/horses with your Z.

Da'Lan trailer hitches in Shirley, MA did their first C5 Corvette hitch on my car way back in 97'. They are great folks and lead the way in hitch design for the C5's. Have some pics and things on the link below.
Not sure if I'd pull horses with it. That may be a stretch. Wheels and tires on a small utility trailer work just fine.
