With my current HP/TQ, I will punch it at a 1st gear roll, 2000 RPM
and start spinning my Yokohama Advan Sports 285 / 35/ 19 (180 Treadwear) at 4000 RPMs.
Ideas, suggestions? Will wider tread help cure the spin?
I selected Option B as it will give me a slighter edge over my current 1st and 2nd gears, but not as harsh a ramp up as Option A, but has a stronger 5th and 6th gear ratio for upper end pulls.

Glenn,
There's nothing wrong with your trans. It's your clutch. I talked to Joe after he drove your car and he said there was nothing wrong with your trans. Shoot me a PM and I'll tell you what he said. Save your money on a new trans and get a better/eaiser engaging clutch.

Funny you say this because I spoke with George at Tranzilla Shop and he asked what clutch I had. I told him the RPS Stage 3+ and he also said "Get rid of it". He said its idle down spin (or whatever) was not in synch with the transmission. And maybe that is why when the spin down, the gear shifts right in. I don't know.....But what confuses me, is he also said the Textralia OZ700 wasn't the best selection either. And, when I do get my next set up, I needed to stay away from an aluminum flywheel and get billet steel.
He also said it doesn't sound like my transmission either, but more the clutch set up I am running. (Spin down time with aluminum flywheel) And the funny part is, all this started right after my clutch install in Germany. But, what gets me, is this is teh SAME set up I had when I was able to shift fast. He sai dit coul dbe that the flywheel bolts weren't torqued correctly etc or maybe one or two are loose. Who knows..... But he did recommend that, with 103,000 mile son the Transmission, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have it looked at.

Cobra, I looked up a C6Z Transmission and it is the same as a C5 MN6 due to (i am assuming) the HP rating.
But it is the same. Unless the website was jacked up and posted incorrect numbers.

Hi GR8 White,
I installed the Tranzilla (Parts) before 9 months ago, with the same close ratio 2.97 for the 1st.
And i heard that Tranzilla assembly OR Tranzilla parts need some special fluid (do you agree with that?), also i have a technical Q wich is:
Does the triple cone bloker rings and the original cone rings has the same SIZE ??? or not.
Because the technical guy just installed ONE cone blocker ring in the t-56 tranny.

Drago - I am not sure. But I thought the Corvettes had triple cone. Call Rockland and RPM to verify.
