Tuning questions ? FRC Tom..

After attending the "Fest" this year and having FRC Tom tune my car..and with seeing/hearing all of those Fine Z's I decided to get heads. I have on the bench ready to install a new set of AFR 205's, and 30# injectors. My questions are, will I need to retune? and can I drive it until I can get it tuned? My mods until heads and injectors were: BPP Vortex, ported maf ends and ported throttle body, LS6 intake, G5X2 on 112 LSA cam, Lingenfelter Long tubes, TR55's, Magnaflow x-pipe, B&B Prt's and tuning, those mods put down 383 rwhp..what can I expect now? Many thanks! Greg

Hey Greg.
You should be OK for driving around.
You already had the cam so your drivability should still be good.
Your LTFTs may have to be readjusted with the new found air with those heads. PE table might need some tweaking also for the same reason. Could go lean on you at WOT.
Are you going with larger injectors?

The flow rate needs to be changed in the VCM also.
Is there a dyno and tuner near you?

Dyno's in the area but no tuner, I'll have to take to someone, that's why I am wondering if the car will be ok to drive normally without going to WOT or driving it hard.

LS7 heads

Just so you are aware that after the first of the year Chevy will introduce a new head for the LS1/LS6 which is based on the LS7 heads. This will have the larger intake runners and 12 degree valve angle, will accept the LS7 Intake manifold and be indexed for the smaller 4.000" bores. These will outflow a ported LS6, AFR or anything available now. It will CNC ported as well.

I appreciate the info on the new heads, but I have the AFR's here now, so I will go with them.
