Valve springs.

I broke a valve spring And need to know if i should go with the comp cam beehives or put the same comp cam dual springs in it. My Z had the dual spring from compcam but im thinking it was a factory defect why it broke. The car is cammed, procharged 6psi, head work, built motor, full exhaust. Please let me know if anyone has a similar set up and could point me in the right direction for valve springs.

Re: Valve springs.

Sorry to hear.....you didnt mention if there was any internal engine damage very curious? I can't comment on what you should use being the modifications you have. Broken spring...been there done that. lots of options though.

Re: Valve springs.

I've had Comp 921 dual springs in for about 14,000 miles since the cam (see sig for specs) was put in with no problems. Of course that was about 6 years ago or so.

Re: Valve springs.

LMR in houston has a comp cam 926 spring kit for $500. Then on jegs there is a kit called patriot performance extreme with titianium keepers for $315. Any info on these? I know 90% of the time you get what you pay for. And with as much $$ that is in my Zo6 i dont want to put crap parts in it.
