Vette Doctors or Cartek?

Today I went up to Vette doctors with my buddy and his ZR-1, for a few adjustments, oddly enough, ther was an 02 EB Z06 getting it's ATI procharger's idler pulley fixed. What a nice car that was somthin like 650 rwhp. with the cam and head package, and a big Z06VETTE.COM sticker on the front windshield. Any how, after talking with Carmen and Dennis, who have been Tuning Vettes since the ZR-1 came out, and seeing some of their work, I was pretty impressed. I told them that I live much closer to the Cartek guys, but had not seen their work first hand. The guys said that Cartek does do good work. However when comparing, Cartek has more of a history with F-bodies than vettes. So my question is this? 1)Who would be the better choice in your opinion with regard to install of head/cam package and possibly a supercharger? 2) I like the procharger cause it's intercooled, but seems to have belt issues- a silver 01 at their shop, and as with the EB 02, pulley issues too? 3) If anyone knows the owner of the EB Z06 with the procharger at Vette Doctors, NY tags(I wont say) please give me his username. Thanks

NJ,
Heard nothing but glowing reports about Cartek.............
From what I have seen & heard, IF I were to do a SC, it would be a LPE or NONE........................

Yeah, LPE is great, but it scares the hell out of me to have a SC without an intercooler, I just cant figure out how he pulls that off with the magnussen model

Cartek has the reputation and is closer. Seems it may not be that big of a decision. Reputation is SOOOOO important.

Good Luck either way

Cartek!!!

I just had them do work on my car and I also got to see them tuning other head and cam cars they have built.

Julio and Dave know their stuff. Although they work on F-Bodies also, while I was there for 3 days there were about 20 Vettes and 2 F-Bodies on the lot. I believe they have made the move into Vettes for the long haul.

You won't be dissapointed.

Hey, thanks for the reponses, I'll prob give Cartek a call unless I see them first at Carlisle. Thats anither point also, I'm glad to see that they have worked on vettes that roadrace and not just drag. I took my 02 EB to Watkins Glen recently and had a blast with it. Although drags are cool, I'm definitely gearing up for the performance events. Gonna do Bragg-Smith in Nov. Here's my Z if I can get it to post. Thanks again for the advice.

Send a message via AIM to Speedracer
That might've been Brent_EBZ06 (or something like that). He has a really fast Z and I believe it is a Cartek.
