What exhaust set ups (headers, xpipes, cats, exhaust) are people running

Im just trying to get a feel for what works and what doesnt. Ive searched old posts and everyone seems to agree that the LG long tubes are the best, and Im certainly not trying to argue that. What Im interested in is something that will give me 85-90% of the performance without breaking the bank. Ive pretty much settled on the TPIS headers and the Borla stingers, but what are people running in terms of x pipes and cats?? I know random technology makes an x pipe with cats for the TPIS headers, but Im trying to do things on a budget. Im hoping to find a set of used headers (TPIS, TTS, FLP, etc) and maybe a used x pipe and sort of put a system together that will improve sound and performance while still leaving money for other mods. Anybody have any suggestions?? Thanks

I have the TPIS LT and Random Tech cats and x-pipe. Very popular and somewhat reasonable price... $1685 for the whole setup.

You can look under the used parts section on this site for what you are looking for.

Good luck

FLP headers, x pipe and high flow cats that bolt up. No welding.

I believe there is a set available from ITLGO on this forum for 1450 delievered..

That would be my recommendation.

Good luck deciding.

stealthy and light utilizing stock titanium exhausts.

Headers are very good but the ZO-6 exhaust is pretty good as is from the factory. However, if you want grunt for the buck, put in a cam, not too wild, and pick up 25-30rwhp for around $1500-$1800. Headers/exhaust will get you only 10-15rwhp for around the same money at new prices. On another note, while in flight training be sure to keep your nose up in the turns. Good Luck

I have the stainless works headers with the random tech high flow cats and x pipe...I've been pretty happy so far except that last weekend I ripped a header. I had to have it welded up..I was told that the stainless steel headers are prone to getting brittle with extreme heat. I guess mine got hot.

I paid way too much for the overpriced BPP 5-piece long tubes ($1,400). When they first came out, they were supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread. You can't make the damn things not leak. Oh well, live and learn. I also have a off-road Bassani x-pipe (no cats) @ around $400.00 and quad oval stingers @ around $700.00.

We are offering free shipping on LG Pro Long Tube Headers this week.

These are our 304 Stainless steel, 32" true long tube headers with a race style Merge collector and full 3" X pipe connected to full 3" stainless mid pipes that go all the way back to the stock mufflers. This is a full bolt on full stainless steel system and can be had with or without 3" Random Metal matrix cats.

This system is a full 15 lbs lighter than the stock system.

These are the same headers that we used on the last 470rwhp/425rwtq package that we did on J-Rods Z06 ride.

They can also be purchased through Speed Inc, another supporting vendor on this site.

Full off road system $1595
With Random 3" metal cats $1995
Free shipping

Thanks
