What kind of power and times can I expect from these mods?

Car is a 98 mn6 coupe. So far I had borlas and a vortex rammer CAI. My best run to date was 12.6 @110 and my best trap is 112.

I'm having a Cartek 2x cam put in along with Supermaxx headers and a dyno tune.

Any ideas of what kind of power I can expect along with what I can expect at the track?

Thanks guys.

That's pretty good times already. You should bust 12 sec. without a problem with the right tires. Good going!

You didn't mentioned heads, so I am assuming you are doing your heads as well. Look for at least 400 RWHP with the right tune.

No heads. Cam and headers only.
Work is being done @ Speed Inc. of Schaumburg (a supporting vendor).

You will pick up a 1/2 second in the 1/4

you may want to check that. You really will not benefit the most from the cam without reworked heads. this will reduce the amount of horseys you could expect.

Well right now I don't have the $$$ for new heads. Plus from what I read the Cartek 2x cam is pretty potent without doing the heads. I can always throw new heads on later on with no problems.

assuming stock LS1 heads, you should dyno in the 365-375rw range and be capable of high 11 second 1/4 passes under optimal winter conditions, a set of sticky tires, and some good driving. Probably 115+ traps.

I was able to run some fast times with the 2x cam only and et streets. It will take alot of seat time as well. I made 397 rwhp on my Z06.Cam only is a nice way to go and get used to the power. Let us know how you do. That cam is very stealthy but has alot of grunt as well. Goodluck.

Robz,

Besides the extra power, how did your original cam only change effect the drivability and gas mileage of your car?

Driveability was the same. Smooth but stronger. I really don't know gas mileage, I don't track that at all.
