What is the Reluctor Wheel on a LS7

"What is the reluctor wheel, and what does it do? Also, is it only on the LS7 engine?"

TIA

Its on all the LSx motors. The LS7 just has a different one on it with more pickup points.

It is basically a crank trigger. It tells the computer at what point the crank is in its rotation. At least from my understanding.
