what's this noise?

Hello everyone,
I'm the proud owner of a 02 blue z06 and am very happy with my decision/research toward its purchase(barring a few minor nusances) and would appreciate some feedback.

Recently, I was at the local rod show and noticed a high pitched screech/squeel upon reving the car(mostly under a load). No codes in the DIC nor was it the serpentine...in fact, it almost sounds like it was coming from the injectors...is this something I should be concerned with or just par for the course?

Thanx---MUSL

I would say it was the belt, based on the squeal noise. Has it ever done it again? If it was from the injectors and anything was wrong there, you should have a code on your DIC. Ask your dealer before it becomes some thing more than annoying. Good luck. Bill

I would vote for a belt problem also. In my experience you can have a wide range of noises that are belt(s) but do not sound like it could possibly be from that source.
