wheel hop

Any suggestions???
Since the mods, when i shift to second and really get on it I get alot of wheel hop! Being an old hotrodder I'm thinkin', it needs traction bars....but i can't find any. Does anybody make em? Second gear is REALLY strong!!!

Hi,

These cars often have a little wheel hop. I used to read more complaints about hop last summer. Mine either has none or some depending on the road surface (and as I have found out recently the temperature).

From what I understand... if you car is higher milage it may be your shocks, or it may have to do with your alignment, or when it gets cold it will hop more...

Appart from alignment (and the possible shock thing (Cobra guys switch shocks to clean up the problem all the time)) I understand that bushings can help eliminate deflection when the suspension is under load and remove wheel hop.

Bushings are something I really want... I just don't really feel like sitting there with a propane torch blowing the old ones out... hehehe.

This happens to me ONLY when I have very little fuel in the tank. Full tank = no hop.
