Will 275/40/17s Fit Stock Z06 Front Rims???

I am running stock Z06 rims. Will a 275/40/17 fit the rim properly? Should I stick with the 265/40/17s? Is there a size difference between the two sizes or is it a matter of sidewall thickness?

I would think that they would, but I would call someone at Tirerack before I committed to do anything. They should be able to tell you for sure.

As far as the size difference compared to stock, the new tires would be 10mm wider and the side wall would be 4mm taller...not much difference.

I would be bit concerned with even the most minor change in height against the rear fitment too.

I "upgraded" my '96 vert to 285-17's on all four tires. This application kept the ride height equal in all respects but the increase width of the front tires (from 255-17's) gave the car more "road feel." Good tracking and sometimes, almost too good especially on rough roads (ruts and expansion joints). A bit more over-steering.

I have that size on mine. With my car lowered as far as possible on stock bolts without cutting bushings, I have no problems with this size.
Guys in SCCA T1 class are running 315s up front on 17 inch wheels without problems.

I'm running those as well with no problem. The extra width just give you a little more protection from curb rash.

Changed the rear rims to 19" and noticed the Baer Eradispeed plus 1 drilled and slotted rotors look much better on the rear. The 18" new front rims with the Baer Rotors also look better now then with the stock rims.
