WOOHOO! American Racing Headers came in today!

What a beautiful set of headers they are. I am really impressed with the cat/x-pipe section. Now I have to wait til Sat. morning to use my neighbors lift. At least I have a neighbor with a garage-mahal that will make this rather painless. FYI, before headers I did 357rwhp and this is my first engine mod to increase power. All previous mods were track related with clutch and brakes being the big ones.

Be sure to keep us posted on your progress and take lots of pictures. If things work out this winter and I do my 402 transplant, I plan on getting a set of those headers with 1 7/8" primaries for the larger displacement motor. Very interested in fit/finish, ease of install etc. Good luck and have fun!

when are you going to find time? You barely have enough time to make those shift knobs

I got the headers on yesterday and what a difference they make. I can't believe how big of a difference this mod did. Totally different car. When I put headers on my WS6 I couldn't tell the difference so this time I am extremely happy the outcome this time.

Now for the install. These headers are not the bam and there in. At least not for me but they weren't bad to install either. I did not have to drop the starter but I did have to disconnect all the wiring on on both sides and get it up out of the way in order to get them in. What a pain in the ass it was to reconnect. Once done, it is a great setup. Plenty of room to locate wires and connections. Getting the spark plugs back in is easier than stock too. So far no codes but I am expecting one before I get it tuned.

No dyno yet. With all the rain and flooding we have been having up here the car has not been out of the garage for a couple of weeks.
