Z06 Rear Spoiler

I don't want to sound cheap, but my wife put me on a budget after I bought the Z06. Anyway, I want to buy a Doug Rippie Rear Spoiler, part #70-406. Would anyone have one that they purchased and then changed their mind on? I would be interested in new, used, painted, unpainted, etc. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Joe

This is so weird! Just this morning I started looking for this exact spoiler. I saw it in a catalog from West Coast Corvettes, and when I called them to inquire, got a brusque "we don't have those anymore". Thanks for the link. Having checked out Doug Rippie's (Ripoff?) website, I see it lists for $ 450. It never ceases to amaze me how much vendors ask for Corvette parts. I guess I'll forgo the spoiler, as I just get pissed off with blatant ripoffs, and that one is the only spoiler I've ever seen on a 'Vette that I wanted. Well, maybe the Spectre Werkes rear fascia, but that's a whole 'nother thing.

One of my customers backed into the rear panel on my car(approx.18 months ago)and figured that was my chance to buy the Spectre Werks rear facia. The insurance co picked up most of the tab, and I kicked in the difference.

Funny how much of a difference that tiny lip can make.

Lookin' good Baron!! The other 'look' that catches my eye is the Carvaggio (spelling??).

Yeah Baron, that's the look I like. Just a small lip, and in the case of your fascia, no annoying seams. Beautiful! I think the fascia is about $900, And compared to the $450 for just a glue-on spoiler lip, it's a screaming bargain. That'll be the way I'd go. BTW, do you have any pictures of the Spectre Werkes from a more directly from the rear view? I'd like to see how it differs from stock in ways other than the spoiler. Thanks, Dave.

Here it is in yellow. Not weeks later, another customer backed into my Z (again!). At this point, I decided to do away with the Corvette logo on the rear and paint it the semi-gloss black. On a side note, I don't park my car in that spot anymore.

Here it is in Black. Looked good either way.

Here's mine. Not a very good shot, but it'll give you an idea how it'll look on EB.

Speaking of rear fascias and spoilers, where can one get the rear fascia that's shown on the LPE site?

To me that is the best looking one ever

For what it's worth, here's my RK Spoiler..........

I love the look from the back view but from the side angle, the raised seam is too obvious and I'm not crazy about it at all

Mike

If you want Mike, I can show you where to park your car at my shop, and within a weeks time, you replace it with any rear facia you want( at the insurance company's expense).
ps As fast as your car is, nobody is going to see the raised seam.
