As many of you know, the NCM is not holding Drag Racing at any of the events this year, due to the fact that they have been losing money on these events for the last few years.
Not one to take NO for an answer, I have gone out and gotten American Racing Headers, and Airaid to pledge $500 each to sponsor the drags, and I hope to get one or two more vendors to help out as well.
But in order to convince the NCM to hold this event we need to get committment from our own people that the difference between what I get from sponsors and the $2500 fee for the track will be covered.
So, here is how this is going to work, I am going to keep a list of those willing to sign up and pay for drag racing at the Fest. As of right now I am looking for 30 people at $50 each to cover the $1500 difference between the $1000 pledged by our sponsors and the $2500 fee for the track.
Please post in this thread if you are willing to to sign up for the drags at the Fest, and I will keep a master list in this first post.
If I can get any other vendors to kick in towards the drags, I will reduce the fee the NCM charges for the drags accordingly.
I am going to give this until the end of June, if we do not have the requisite number of people to cover the cost then we will cancel the drags altogether for the 2009 Z06Fest
