btw i dont think the problem will be finding people to attend.. the problem will be organizing it for that many people... we've seen how much effort expertiest and experience has been put towards this fest.. it will require funding and commitment...maybe vendor sponsorship and special sales when they are there
if there is alot of interest i will start really looking into it.
some ideas that come to mind... las vegas or so cal (say a beach fest) or at a fair ground any ideas are welcome. it would need to be a nice open area with plenty of hotels for everyone.

I have experience putting event/shows together and i think our wonderful supporting vendors would be willing to support a great corvette event

I vote for Vegas, equidistant for most of the Southwest. It has a roadcourse, a drag strip, plenty of dynos, a killer nightlife, law enforcement that is usually too pre-occupied with real crime to worry about speeders, great hotels, and plenty to do when you (or the significant other) are tired of looking at cars.

I would love to go to a WestFest! With vendors like WCC, A&A, & LAPD here in the LA area I would think we should have a good start on sponsors...
The only trouble with Vegas, for me, is that the Z seats two, and the kid makes three... ...and leaving him home alone is not an option. Of course I could go solo... ...hmmmm....

Put him or the wife on a plane and try to beat them there to pick them up from the airport

qs, I sure don't want to rain on anyones parade but you may find getting our vendors there to be quite a task. Probably the most difficult part of the fest preparation for BG is getting vendors there. Not only is the cost to the vendor a prohibiting factor (travel expenses, time away from there job, etc) but also their schedule can be pretty hard to match up with. It is certainly easier for them to justify the cost or scheduling problems if the are assured of a large turnout (C5 Bash, Carlysle, etc), but with a small relatively unknown group with uncertain turnout numbers, your task may be quite daunting.
Not trying to be a kill joy, I personally think 2 Z06Vette.com fests per year would be pretty neat but you may find this task to be very difficult. I think a lot of favors were called in to establish our first fest and get some vendors, GM big shots, road racing experts, tours, and track rentals put together and that was with a co-sponsorship with the NCM.
I personally don't know how JC or Les would feel about this, you'd have to ask them yourself, but I thought I should share with you some of the obsticles you're gonna be facing.
thanks mike... i understand that puting on a event would take alot of work and have many obsticles. but im just curious how many people would be interested in a event like this.
i should have made this thread a poll but i forgot to set it up when i did my first post

No sweat bro, start a new thread with a poll and then later on, I'll merge the two threads.
