HOtel Parking Lot Security

I have gotten some quotes from the Baymont for guard services that we could hire to patrol the hotel parking lot during the Fest to protect the cars, trucks, and trailers during the Fest.

There are a couple of local firms, one offers only unarmed guards, the other offers either armed or unamred guards.

Personally, I do not think we need an armed guard out there, I think we just need someone out there patrolling while we are all sleeping.

My thought would be to have someone on site from 12:00 midnight to 7:00 am Wednesday night to Saturday night. But we might be able to back that up to 1:00 am to 7:00 am.

Securitas offers only unarmed guards at $14.75 per hour, this would b3 $103.25 per night (12 am to 7 am)

OnGuard Services offers both armed and unarmed guards at $18.50 per hour, this would be $129.50 per night for 4 nights.

If everyone is interested, then I need volunteers to be guard sponsors and donate funds to help pay these guys during the week.

Let me know if this is something we want to do, and if you want to be a sponsor, and for how much.

We will need to let the guard company know we want someone by the 29th of August.

Security Sponsors:
YumaZ06
DennyM
ZDog
tabratton
Uvettya
JIm Lembo
ItsaZ
Ernie King
Big Kid
Z06phile
xtc4us
Panama Jack

Re: HOtel Parking Lot Security

Mark,
I won't be driving this year (flying out to KC to hook up with the caravan) but I would like to sponsor one night of guard duty for all of my Z06vette.com attendees. I don't think that we need armed guards, only a guard strong enough to hold whoever is messing with stuff until we take care of him!!!

I agree that unarmed is sufficient ... and 12-0700 is about right.
I'll co-sponsor a nite with someone or, if we have lots of volunteers, I'll kick in $50.00.
