How many folks will attend the Z06 Fest?

And how many Vettes attended last year's Fest?

I wanted to take my 15 year old nephew , but he'll be back in school. His dad is deployed in Iraq and this would have been a great venue 4 him to unwind from the worries of having a parent & other Loved 1's away at war..

Last year was a down year because of the date, and we had around 150+ at the event, over 100 cars.

With gas prices where they are right now and the economy where it is, I expect about the same.

The oil bubble is bursting. We live in a "boom and bust" economy. 1st the tech bubble then the housing bubble and now the oil bubble. A barrel of oil is now 115.00, the lowest in 3 months and tanking. The dollar is at a 17 month high.

The "market makers" already made their killing as did Exxon/Mobil.

That's my story and i'm sticking to it!

And what does this have to do with the original thread?

I attended my first Z Fest last year and had a great time. For me it was a perfect event for my recently purchased Z06. The HPDE at Putnam Park, the Auto Cross and an afternoon at the Drag strip. Meeting all the cool people from this forum was icing on the cake.
If I can get home and not have to deadhead 900 miles (I drive truck for a living) I'll be there, but I won't know until the last minute.
