need advice

Well, the time for the z06fest is finally here, however, I am not sure about what to do yet. Part of me wants to go, but I am also a little overwhelmed/scared by such a long trip and then the fact that I don't know anybody there... I am not sure what to bring with me, aside from the FRS/GMRS radio set to channel 3 and the cameras!! . (BTW, if I go, this will be my 1st time)

I live in St. Louis, so I think it should be around 4 1/2 hours drive to the NCM. I guess its not that bad, considering we are in the US.

I was thinking of this even as a one day deal for me: I leave STL Saturday between 6-7am in the morning, then stay the day over there, meet the other members and then leave, perhaps, around 7-8pm in the afternoon.

Please, any advice will be greatly apreciated. Thanks.

G.

4.5 hours a long trip??? jeez someone doesnt like driving trust me, you might not have met anyone from the forum yet, but the transition from internet to real life is actually a pretty smooth one i would definatly go if it were only a 4.5 hour trip.

I, too, would definitely do it if it were only 4-5 hours away... Unfortunately, It's more like 50 hours driving for me

Get there, and hope you enjoy!

My first year to attend, don't know any other people there either, but we're driving 720 miles each way to get there.

Come on, get in the car, point it east, and drive.

You might as well go being that close and all. You will meet a ton of new people and have a great time. Plus I think mdickie will hunt you down and get after you with a hockey stick if you are on the fence about going.
