BAYMONT SMELLS LIKE SH!T! BEWARE OF BUGS & FOULD ODORS! Ewwwwwww!

I was in BG 2 weeks ago and stayed at Baymont for like the 5 or 6th time in the last few years.

We found roaches and bugs not only in our room, but 2 others that were offered to us. The bathroom had urine stains on the bathroom floor too.

We went next door to the Hampton, a few bucks more , but the place is bug free and not seedy like the Baymont.

Beware of heavy smoking odor combined with a strong odor of glade spray and Roach killer too. All 3 rooms reaked!

See you guys in a couple of weeks..

Justin~

Re: Something does not add up...

Hmmmmm, I've stayed at the Baymont every year since my first Fest in 2003 and never had an issue..........well, once the shower was a bit weak on pressure but nothing like your experiences. Not saying that things couldn't change!!!
I'll try my luck again this year and see how things go......I'm squared away for the week but can always shift over to another place after arrival and scoping things out.

Re: Something does not add up...

I can assure you that if things are like that, this will be the last year we book the Baymont. I decided to stop staying at the Hampton a few years back when the night manager called the cops on us when we were sitting out front.

She never came out to ask us to quiet down (noise was the issue) because she was afraid we would yell at her because we were enjoying a few adult beverages. We had been staying there as a group for 3 or 4 years by then, and they treated us that way, they won't get my business again.

I thought the Baymont was 'newly renovated'?

Re: Something does not add up...

After a few adult beverages, I don't notice those things anymore.

Seriously though, if the Baymont is like you say it is, time to move!

If you enjoy bed-bugs and the odor of Bug Killer and smoke u found heaven!

The 3 Baymont rooms I was offered looked to be recently updated , but nobody informed the roach's and bed-bugs. My GF and I were shocked how bad the odors comming from these rooms. The urine stains on the Toilet seat and on the bathroom floor were gross. The odor of tobacco , bug spray, Glade and roach kille ruined our dinner for the evening..

I wouldn't stay there for $5 bucks a night. The Hampton was significantly cleaner and the room had a fresh smell. No tobacco smell in the curtains etc.

I'm spending a few extra dollars staying at the Hampton to make sure we enjoy ourselves.

You will if stay at the Baymont!!

Re: Something does not add up...

If it were that bad, why did you stay? I'd have asked for a refund, and checked out immediately.

Re: Something does not add up...

You found bugs in 3 different rooms? Was management informed of this? I'm gonna call them and ask them about this incident. They surely must be aware of it if you went to 3 different rooms and found bugs??

Please provide some detail of what you are reporting. There are a ton of us already booked there and now you report this. I just want to know exactly what you found. There are quite a few people that are affected by this.

Joe

Some reviews I found: There are a bunch more but they are all similar. I did not find one that mentioned odors or bugs.

43 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Specifically asked when making reservation about beds. Was told they were pillowtop beds. They WERE NOT. Was told the jacuzzi suite had a real jacuzzi NOT a tub with jets. They LIED.

44 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for business
The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very nice. As with most hotels in this class, the bathrooms aren't very big, but the rooms are spacious and well appointed.

58 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
The location was convenient, the room was comfortable, and the free breakfast buffet was very nice. We enjoyed our stay and were given a senior discount. We would stay there again.

32 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
As always, my experience at Baymont Inn and Suites was great. I wish there were more locations throughout the southern states

55 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I appreciated the immaculately clean room and the extra-friendly staff. I love this place. I have stayed at Baymonts before and I'm always happy, especially in the suites.

51 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for business
The hotel is a nice place, clean, and fairly priced.

66 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for business
This hotel has very good accommodations at a reasonable price, and it's well located for travelers. The staff knows the area as to shopping and dining.

27 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
They double-charged me for August 15-17 and I am still waiting for my money to be returned. I am not happy because of this.

36 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
The staff was very friendly!
I am very likely to return to the Baymont Inn and Suites Bowling Green.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

66 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
They give excellent service. We were looking for a La Quinta and were surprised to know that Baymont is associated with the La Quinta family of inns, etc. We always look for La Quinta first. Now we can look for Baymont inns.

53 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
It's a wonderful place--I'd like to stay there when I visit Bowling Green again.

48 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I expected more of a suite atmosphere (not just a room), according to the description I read. Other than that, it was fine for what I needed.

72 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

This hotel made me feel elegant: They seemed to be happy people.

59 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
It was a lovely inn, and the breakfast was good, but I felt the price was high.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: I thought the price of the room was high.

Well, I guess that we will have to find out for ourselves what condition the Baymont is in. I know that when I stayed there in 2006 it was ok and people I talked with that stayed there last year did not have a problem.
