Speed Events at the Fest

So who is planning on participating in which speed events at the Fest??

So far, as of today, we have:

77 registered for the overall event
13 registered for drag racing
7 registered for the autocross (waiting to get the number from the NCM)

The MM tour does not require registration, but if you plan on attending please chck the box so I have an idea how many of you nuts are going to go.

Now, I have seen a lot of smack talking going around on the site about the drag racing at this year's Fest, and yet we have only 13 people signed up, where are all of you smack talking drivers.

C'mon, CF got 29 people to sign up for the drags, now we are supposed to be the "performance enthusiasts" and we only have 13 signed up for the drags. That is pathetic, let's go people...

You can register at the event, when you get to the NCM.

Should not be a problem, but do me a favor and call Adam Boca at the museum and let him know how many will register when you get there so they know.

1-800-53-VETTE is the number for the NCM.

Ask for Adam Boca.

Re: Speed Events at the Fest

I'm signed up for the drags and Maker's Mark tour. Will they relax the NHRA rules, or am I going to need a cage to run faster than 11.5? I might only get one pass if that's the case.

I would like to know the same thing. I would love to drive 600 miles one way and get the boot for breaking the 11.5 rule ???

Added clutch pedal return spring = 445 rwhp...LOL

I hope you didn't sign up for the ncm MM tour. You will be sad.

In the six years of going to the Fest, beech bend has never kicked anyone out for not having a rollbar or cage. Hell we used to run down the track with no helmets and windows open. At the drivers meeting though, I'm sure the ol' sheriff will lay some of the rules out.
But now I remember last year when the ncm ran the drags. Got kind of sticky for a while with rules, but everybody got to go down the track as many times as they wanted (except MikesZ06 who continually broke belts for the s/c! )

Re: Speed Events at the Fest

Registered for all; however, won't have a car there as I recently found that I have to leave BG Fri noon for meetings in St. Louis, then back home Sun. But ... boys and girls ... we just gotta get 30 cars out to Beech Bend! This is the Performance Fest!
