Z06Fest Caravan Info + Maps

PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY!!!!

Here's how this is going to play out:

Provided below are 2 maps. East and West.

We will update these maps by highlighting routes that various groups are using. These routes will be given numbers and people will be assigned to those routes to act as a point of information. We need volunuteers for these positions!!!! Mark (mdickie) has a pretty good approach for these things so if you have any questions about being a route captain, either myself or he can answer them. It's easier than it sounds

It's suggested that you carry at minimum a cell phone and that you convey your cell to your route captain BEFORE the caravan. Also, you should pick up a GMS/FS radio (cheap) at the local Best Buy to facilitate intercar communication.....its faster and cheaper than a cell.....Plus they are great to carry around the show....

As we find our route captains, we'll update this page with the routes and maps.....

Whoever is going through Jackson TN. Please PM me and I will join the caravan there. I will be there on the 5-6 for some other business and can leave anytime until the start of the fest. My hotel is reserved for the 10-13 in BG.

Clearwater to Tampa 75 north to Altanta 75 north to Chattanogga 24 west to Nashville 65 North to Exit 28.
Stopping onny for gas, to get some and get rid of some.

We have reservations for the Tues 9/9 through Sat 9/13. We plan to do the auto cross and will change res if auto cross is resched for Thurs. We plan to leave early Tues 9/9 and head up from New Orleans to I 59 to Tuscaloosa and Birmingham then to change over to I 65 and go through Nashville up to Bowling Green.

It is about a 11 hour trip and I would say we should be in New Orleans by 5 or 6 am and hitting Birmingham by 12 noon. That should put us in Nashville around 4 pm and Bowling Green by 5 pm. If anyone is heading this way we would LOVE to caravan.

I'm coming from Everett, WA.

I went down to Barstow last year and across I-40. Taking a more northern route this year. Check the link below.

The other routes are coming together in the subforum of Z06 Fest/ Performance Fest.
