Well, it looks like I am about to be laid off. I have twenty years of experience mostly with real time embedded applications...lots of experience with Ada (lots of good that will do ) and C++. Anyone hiring???

I feel for you man... . Are you another victim of foreign outsourcing? Us programmers have got to stick together.

You might want to try sites like hotjobs, monster, careerbuilder. I have seen a number jobs posted in CA looking for people with experience in RTOS and embedded systems. If you have a good hardware back ground to go with that you should be fine.

I am looking for work in ASIC design and verification or application engineering mainly in EDA. The EDA industry and software engineering industry have been hard hit with outsourcing. When they can by 5 or more engineers in India and China for the price of one, the greedy CEOs don't think twice.

Good luck!
Don

Mark,
Are you wanting to stay on the west coast? I think that we have a few recs open for embedded c++ software for Disk Array Controller boards. We're talking ISCSI, ISATA, and Fibre Channel stuff using vxworks. Toss me a PM if you want more info.

I think here at Teradyne we're doing some selective hiring for both C++ and ASSIC engineering in both Agoura Hills, CA and Boston MA for ATE applications. If your interested in details PM me.
