Well the axe has finally fallen in my direction....

Got laid off yesterday. Its about the tenth if not more since I lost count round of lay offs since I started there in early 2000. This time they went deep and it was about 1/4-1/3 of the company. Guess that is the risk you take working in telecom these days.

Oh well I get 8 weeks of severance starting after this Friday so I get the summer off with pay

I just have to find a job to go to after that time

I am in central NJ right now but would like to take this opportunity to move out of NJ to somewhere in FL, NC, VA or PA in that order.

Anyone know of someone that might be looking for a telecom, Cisco, PC kind of person? I can send anyone my resume upon request.

It seems that everything is going to a lan based technology but it seems that for us PC/network types the jobs are getting few and far between.

Sorry to hear that. Hope that things work out and you find the job and location that is best for you. United States..........as of today we are going into major deficit (450 million).
