Is Calif PCM programmed differently than other states?

Is a Calif ZO6 PCM programmed different with their 91 octane fuel & stricter emissions? I am now in VA where it is 93 octane. Doesn't seem to pull as hard as I expected.

If it is different there which way should I go with a/f & timing to take advantage of the cars new environment. I'm thinking about getting a Predator for some slight edits if that would be helpful.

I probably will not be doing any major mods for quite some time and will wait till then for a LS1 edit.

What do you suggest.

Run a few tankfuls of Sunoco 94 (I know there are some Sunoco's in Va). And the pcm should adjust by itself.

Also...at the Fest, one of the GM Big Guys said he peruses the sites and sees a lot about Techron additive which is in Chevron gas. Said apparently it works very well. Worth a try. I filled up in WVa with it on the way home from the Fest. Didn't feel any difference, but 93 gas is 93 gas!

Thanks for the greeting. I live up towards Sterling so we are not far apart. Hopefully we will get a chance to meet soon. The only other person I know with a Z in this area so far is Panzer. Come on out to the Mannasas Burger King sometime and we'll talk ZO6.
