Check engine light = P0133 code

Hey guys, my 02 z06 recently threw a check engine light. I diagnosed it and the code is P0133, which is O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1).

Should I have the o2 sensor replaced? I am at 41,xxx miles. Just seeing if anyone else had this issue around my mileage.

I had the same problem with my '01 C5 around the same mileage. I don't have any idea why it gave me the code. I cleared the codes, and had it try to come on about two or three more times, and then...for no reason it stopped.

You may get some different advice from some folks here on the forum that tell you to do otherwise. But at least in the meantime, if you clear the codes, you don't have to look at that damn yellow light.

If you are seeing codes and not seeing any other symptoms, before you do anything like replacing parts, check the ground points for moisture, corrosion, loose connectors or tiedowns, etc.

My O2 sensors starting giving me trouble around the 45K mark. The sensors before the cat are the ones that the engine uses for Air/Fuel (I would replace those if I had the error).
