headers. 02 sensor. check engine light?

my 03 z06 has minor mods.. exhaust, intake. i am considering getting longtube headers and eliminating the cats. other vehicles that i have done this with have had the check engine light come on. this is my first corvette and i am new to the site. i dont want to be stuck with that light on.. i want to be sure that if/when it comes on that the code can be cleared and stay off.... so i figured would get the opinion of people who have been there. any info will help. thanks, sean

You have a couple of choices.

Buy 02 Simms which will trick your computer into thinking that they are working.

Or have them turned off with a Dyno tune. IMO this is the best way as you will also get a performance increase.
