Help with code 1214

My '02 ZO6 has been plagued recently with the no ABS, no Active Handling messages and code 1214. I have the factory services manauls but they are not of much help other than to replace the EBCM. Are there any partcular grounds to check and where are they? I'm hoping that it's just a loose wire somwhere.

Re: Help with code 1214

How many miles on car?- could be grounds but could be abs module. Pull the module off the brake module and send to absfixer. I dont know if they are a supporting vendor but they cured the problem on my vette at 1/4 the cost the dealer wanted. pm me if you want more info.

It only has 30K miles on it. Garage kept so not alot of corrosion under the hood. I went ahead and pulled the module and checked the wires for damage and saw none. I'm sending it off to absfixer tomorrow. Only $150 to fix it.
We'll see how it goes. Hope that's all it is and it's not the brake pressure module.

Mine has been repaired and is on it's way back already.

Re: Help with code 1214

The EBCM failure seems to be more a factor of age than actual miles. But like as not, you're getting the 1214 code and the fix will be a new EBCM. It was for me...

Re: Help with code 1214

I got my EBCM back on Friday and plugged it back in and no codes! Not bad for only $150 after the dealer wanted $1300. Obviously it was the module responsible and not a bad ground or broken wire.
