Previously, I started a thread re my problems with getting a PCM code. Ultimately, almost two weeks ago, we pulled the PCM out of the car and sent it to ECS to reprogram (they had done the original programming when they added their mild blower cam and alky injection to my Maggied car) We got the ECS reprogrammed PCM back early this week, attached a Ready Scan Readiness Monitor Tool to the OBD II data link connector, and began to do some driving cyles. The Ready Scan uses color coded LEDs to notify the driver that the car has run its self-tests and is ready to return for emissions testing. My friend, who is an excellent Corvette mechanic tells me that this tool has Never failed to accurately indicate a car's readiness for emissions testing.
The good news is during the 5 or 6 driving cycles (total over a 100 miles) since, there are no flashing check lights and there have been no PCM codes either current or history, recorded. Unfortunately, the Ready Scan continues to indicate that the car is not ready to be emissions tested plus now it has a pronounced hesitation under hard acceleration that it never had before.
Of course, this being Carlisle week-end, all I could do is leave a message with ECS. And, now I am running out of time because my plates expire at the end of this month.
Any suggestions?
