^^new Engine Tune Question^^

Hey guys! I have an '04 Z06 with a vortech s/c system. I just rebuilt the motor and lowered the compression ratio from 10.5:1 to 9.25:1, do you think it will be safe to drive without getting it retuned, or on its way to get a tune? I would think the lower compression and less risk of detonation would be better, if anything.

I wouldn't anticipate too many problems just driving it to the tuner (instead of trailering). I sure wouldn't 'get into it' however until it was properly tuned.
