Passanger side window not working!

I found out last week that the passenger side window is not working anymore. When I push down on the roll up/down button, I hear a buzzing sound but the window does not move.
I did some research and found several people had the same problem and it was either the regulator or the motor.
Did anyone have the same symptoms? (Buzzing noise?) And do you guys think I should take off the door panel myself and poke around?

Thanks

Same problem here and I replaced the motor and regulator.

Re: Passanger side window not working!

Update: I end up taking it to a Chevy delership. They replaced the motor/regulator. It works fine now. I had an extended warranty so I only had to pay $100. The total was $500 plus!

Re: Passanger side window not working!

C-5 window regulators are notorious for failing and I've also had both replaced recently under my GMPP extended warranty. You are right about the $500 price--my dealer said they charge ~$450 for the repair.
