2002 Z06 - I had just washed my engine and was headed home not driving very aggressive and no sounds, no pops, no jerks, but the information center starts going crazy with codes. Reduced Engine Power / Service Traction Sys / Service Active Handling - Codes:10-PCM P1120 H C(Throttle Position (TP) Sensor 1 circuit), 10-PCM P1220 H C (Throttle Position Sensor 1-2 Correlation), 28-TCS C1278 H (TCS Temporarily Inhibited by PCM), 99-HVAC B0338 H C (Inside Air Temp Sensor Open) I,ve gone through the resets but everything comes back. Any suggestions for how to clear the reduced power and TCS problems? I believe the P1120 & P1220 are a result of the reduced power mode. What the heck is inside air temp sensor open on the HVAC. I noticed the display panel for HVAC has most of the light bulbs not working at night. Any chance they forgot to plug something up when custom sterio was installed? I just bought this car. Any advise besides take it the a dealer would be appreciated. If that's the only thing to do from here I will.
Everytime I wash my engine I've had electrical crazinees occur. Just park it & give it some time. You might even unhook your battery & let everything reset.

I agree, you may have gotten something wet, just let it sit and dry out for a while.

What about the HVAC and half the lights being out. Do you think it could be something unplugged when they installed the radio? I just bought the car so I don't know how long it's been that way.

That happened to G & I when we were at the drags in his car. He said it was b/c we were pushing it to hard, hot lapping and needed to let it sit. Not sure though.
As far as the stereo, were the HVAC lights not working when you purchased the car?
How did you wash the engine, did you use high pressure?
It was day time when I purchased the car. I checked all the exterior lights but didn't consider the interior since I couldn't see them good. First time I drove it at night last night I noticed all but two of the lights were out only on HVAC. All the orange lights work just not the backlighting for the control buttons. Yes I left it running and used a pressure washer but tried to avoid electronics. I was about five or six miles from the car wash when it went to reduced power and when I pulled the codes through diagnostics I noticed the HVAC code.
It seems to me that something did get wet. It's definitely not hard to get the electronics wet. I would let it sit a while, then try to reset the codes.
As far as the HVAC Control lights, it seems that may have happened during the stereo installation.
Thanks man. It has new Nitto 555R's @ 335/30/18 out back and it will turn loose in third running 80. I sold my 400RWHP black 03' Z06 and bought this 02' custom built.
Note to self: Don't pressure-wash the engine. Check.
I hear ya man. Everything is back to normal except the light on the ac/heat buttons. I thing they left something unplugged or something when installing the radio because I noticed that before washing the enging.
Good news...After washing my engine I pulled up behind a pickup at a light & my fricken horn started blasting. I thought these guys were going to jump out & kill me.
