Does anyone know what parameters the Predator performance tune modifies and to what extent?
Reason I'm asking, I just came back from a 3 hour drive and when I checked my LTFTs they were at +20% I reinstalled the stock GM tune, drove a few miles and rechecked and they came back to +3%.
Anybody out there with a similar experience?

Well. I have the predator tune also. If I knew what LTFTs were and how to check them, then I might be able to give some input.
All I can do right now is drink one for you.

Wow daiblow sucks. I had a 02 ss and got the daiblow preadator. I had all kind of problems with that programmer. It have advanced my timing and leaned the spark (just by inserting their tune). I had to go to MTI and let Jason dyno tune my car to get it to stop knocking. Predators suck arse.
I have not had any issues with my predator so far. Under the real time data monitoring you can check for knock/sensor/adjustment and see if it is coming on at any time. My stock LTFT's were at +23 under the stock tune at most driving conditions and the tune that comes with the predator dropped them to +7 to +9. I have gotten two "personalized" tunes from the vendor I purchased the unit from after some dyno runs were analyzed and now my LTFT's vary between -5 and +1 depending on the driving situation. No complaints so far.....

No. That 23 reading was with everything except my headers. Then I installed the standard predator tune and brought it down to 7 to 9. After the headers I had the dyno runs and the custom tunes installed and the custom tune brought it down to the -5 to +1. James, the guy who handles my tunes via the internet/email has been very helpful and cool with all of my questions. So far so good....
I have headers and up until recently, have been running around 0 or slightly negative, which I believe is preferred for max power when you go WOT. I then installed a warhead air filter from a Halltech system and went on a long drive up to North GA and back. When I got home I plugged up the lap top and that's when I noticed the high readings. That tells me the warhead filter is definitely pulling a lot more air. I am now out of range for the stock Predator tune to have any effect.
There is a guy at RWTD web site who I guess does most of the mail order tunes and I guess I should give him a call.
One other question, do you know if you reinstall the stock tune does the predator retain a copy in it's memory?
I did not have the predator unit when I did the black wing/intake set up but after I put those items on I got check engine lights several times so I assumed the Blackwing was sucking more air as well. Then I got the predator and the tune that comes with the unit stopped the check engine lights from the intake. Funny, I asked James at RWTD those very same questions. Once the stock tune is in the unit it is there permanently according to James. All updated tunes that get downloaded into the unit sent from james can then be uplaoded into the car. You essentially "over write" the existing tune in the car with any upgrade. No need to re-save anyhting once it was saved the first time per James...

Cool! Yea, James is the guy at RWTD. I understand he delivers a pretty good tune, at least from what I've read. I guess I need to get off of a hundred dollars and send it to him.
James is a nice guy and has always answered my questions regardless of how "uninformed" I might have been. I bought from them so all my updates have been free so far. I need to get to the dyno one more time and check the recent update I put in. No worries and good luck...
Please help out an ignorant guy! How do you check your LTFTs? I have the Predator, and have used it for many of it's functions , other than the tuning. Be as specific as you can. I also have LGMs, O/R X and Stingers, with a Halltech type air filter, and a Tunnel Ram air intake. I didn't pop a code until I added the TR, and it's 153, O2 sensor, not a lean code.

I use EFILive to look up my LTFT and then they are saved as an Excel file. Here is what they look like when accessed by Live. I'm not sure if you have access using the Predator.
As far as your O2 code, it might be a sensor just going bad. Reset the fault and if it keeps coming back, then I would R&R the O2 sensor.
If I am not mistaken under the real time data monitoring section you can get to that info. The first page/display is the LT ST trims but if you keep paging down I think there are O 2 readings, knock sensor, MAT, and several other items I believe....
