Should I Send My PCM Out For Tuning?

Due to not having anyone in the St. Louis area to tune my Z ( I have an 03) what do you think about sending it out?

Some of the vendors offer this service such a TByrne or Corvette Concepts. I know Byrne uses Ed Wright in Oklahoma and I have heard his name mentioned by others. Corvette Concepts would be able to do it as well.

I had a line on a guy here in town but he does not have the software yet for the 03'. I hear there is someone in the K.C. area. I believe Black Magic took his there recently.

Opinions please.

Thanks,

Bill

You might want to read thread that was posted concerning chassis dynoes and computer tuning before you send out your computer. I am sorry I can't remember the thread. It was written by dyno technicians from BMW. Very interesting read.

They need scans also so they know what to adjust or you are going to get generic tune files. If you get autotap and your own copy of Edit (you will pay for Edit anyway from tuner) I know a guy that will read your scans and adjust your Edit file. ALL USING EMAIL for a small price and he is good!!

We are in Chicago and have tuned several hundred cars, we offer a mail-order basic tune for $150, or a full dynotune for z06vette.com members for $375.

Here is a link with everything that is included:

Let me know if we can help.
