Tune up????

My 2001 zo6 has 39,800 miles on it, I have had it for 2 years and have only put 5000 miles on it. I don't track the car but I do some "high spirited" driving in the summer. My question is time for a tune up, ie plugs, wires, fuel filter? The car runs great, it has a smooth idle, gas milleage is still great on the highway....What are your guys thoughts?

If it ain't broke.......

You might want to do some data logging to see what your fuel trims are doing, if you are experiencing knock retard and that type of thing. Anybody with an HPTuners setup can do this without requiring credits or charges to their account.

Sounds like the car's just fine. Maybe a bottle of Techron and you're good to go.

Tim..Costco has Chevron injector Cleaner with Techron by the 6 pack for about 12 clams (I think)
Techron should be part of the fall ritual....

- run gas tank low...1/8 or less...put in a bottle of techron

- drive around for as long as you dare...burning this cleaner concentrate

- fill up with your favorite fuel* and add another bottle of cleaner plus fuel stalizer if you use..

oil change prior to put away and your done...battery tender one day out of 30 is my routine
